Meditation and Prayer: shifting stories
The tools of prayer and meditations help to change consciousness. For me, both methods of creative thinking heighten our link to the sacred. If I feel aggravated, hurt, or discouraged, I turn within – for a momentary reminder of an alternative. With contemplation, I shift my tale of erroneous thoughts and focus on a narrative of good. By using prayer and meditation, I am more likely to feel renewed, compassionate, and dazzled all day long. ~Eric

Prayers (Written only)
Prayer of Eternal Life
I breathe in the breath of the infinite one. Enduring life is a process of continual expression. It is forever beginning and without end. This bountiful life of the universe is pouring forth right now and I am blessed. I trust there is a process that each soul requires. I trust there is a course for my soul. I am grateful for those souls who have made the transition to another existence. I am grateful for those individuals still in my present life. In my inner sanctuary, I experience light and peace and as I move through my present life, I express the enduring qualities of unity and love. I am one with the Holy One, Amen.
Prayer of Expansion
As I breathe, I open to the universe of possibilities. As I expand my consciousness, I make available divine abundance in my life. I breathe into the idea that divine life is for me. As I breathe, I also open to my own spiritual dominion. This spiritual ability enables me to have authority over our own emotions, inspirations, and thoughts. In my heart, I know no one is against me. I envision myself and others moving past pain and hurt. I envision the best for everyone. I envision a world expanding in love. With my power and with my voice I love, I bless, I do good, and I pray. At so it is.
Prayer of Imagination
I pause and know that I live in the presence of love. The essence of divine energy moves through me. This holy life brings me calm. With it, I show up to share peace with my aching neighbors. I show up to share peace with my hurting world. I envision compassionate voices – voices raised, and voices heard. With my ability of imagination, I see a new world unfolding. People joining in caring for each other. Ideas shared. People working to repair and rebuilt. Projects manifested. For this new version of earth, I am so grateful. I am grateful for the presence of divine wonder and a new world unfolding. Amen.
A note: on Hawaiian Ancestral Land
I acknowledge that my life and livelihood utilize the traditional land of the Kanaka Maoli, the Hawaiian people. I respect these indigenous people and recognize their sacrifices and hardships. With gratitude I honor the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations. I also make it my responsibility to malama 'aina, to care for this land.
