Meditation of Inner Peace
Full transcript of meditation:
Our well-being requires food, safety, shelter, touch, and rest. When our shared needs for connection, peace, and purpose are not met we experience negative feelings. When we look at the world, we see neighbors who are hurting. It is impossible to ignore groups that espouse unfounded ideologies or mix religion with intolerance. We see discontent and division. We see anger acted out. All of humanity longs for ease, harmony, and order. If everyone knew their true nature, they would do better. When we feel calm, centered, and relaxed, we make wiser choices. Let us turn within to inner peace.
Allow these words of the Buddha to guide you as you center, “Delight in meditation and solitude. Compose yourself, be happy. You are a seeker.” So, I move into relaxation. I breathe in peace and let go of anxieties. I unwind. As I turn inward, I find support and I discover delight.
I breathe in peace and let go of anxieties. I am a seeker, as I move into concentration. I focus on inner peace. The process brings me calm. I approach my spiritual endeavors with gentleness and sincerity. I feel at ease as I breathe in the presence in the quiet.
The Atharva Veda reads, “Supreme Lord, let there be peace in the sky and in the atmosphere. Let there be peace in the plant world and in the forests. Let the cosmic powers be peaceful. Let the Brahman, the true essence and source of life, be peaceful. Let there be undiluted and fulfilling peace everywhere.” I breathe in peace and let go of anxieties. I move deeper into meditation. Peace is everywhere available. It is my true essence and source of life.
I breathe in peace and let go of anxieties. I move deeper into stillness. With my ability to imagine, I see a new world unfolding. A holy energy moves through me. I rest this essence of determinant harmony, in the quiet.
Micah 6.8 reads: “[The Lord ] has told you, [everyone], what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” I breathe in peace and let go of anxieties. I remain open to harmony. I realize divine justice is unfolding. That justice shows up as integrity in me. With courage, I love kindness. I share kindness. I envision my care growing as I expand the center of compassion.
I move into appreciation. I feel so grateful for this time of rest and rejuvenation. As a spiritual being, the life I live is centered in peace. Doing justice comes with practice. From my holy center, I make decisions that are fair and just. Affirm, centered in peace, I act with determination.
God is blessing you now!
