Because I cannot always know what someone’s pronouns are by looking at them, I show respect by asking and correctly using someone’s pronouns. I seek to be accurate and convey understanding for all people, especially for those who are transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary. Examples are they/them, ey/em, zie/zim, she/her, and he/him.
